“Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center presents EMBRACE programme in London event
On September 5th 2015,“Hope For Children“ CRC Policy Center exhibited the results of the project “EMBRACE: Rehabilitation & Integration through Arts & Culture” at the TAKING PART festival, an international event celebrating participatory arts and community development. EMBRACE was developed for the European Cultural Learning Network (ECLN), a project funded by the Leonardo da Vinci programme (http://ecln-network.com/ ), and implemented by UNCRC Policy Center in collaboration with Sofia Alexandra Panayi and Theodoris Kostidakis (arts and drama tutors at Home for Hope, a shelter for unaccompanied minors run by UNCRC Policy Center).
The festival took place at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre where organisations and artists from several European countries showcased their work and interacted with the diverse audiences attending the festival. Alongside the performances and exhibitions, the ECLN conference discussed the new opportunities arising for artists and other cultural workers from new qualifications and from the recognition and validation of skills in cultural learning, launching new vocational and educational training qualifications in Cultural Learning, validated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
