The humanitarian independent institution “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center will implement, in Cyprus, the project “Improving Juvenile Justice Systems in Europe: Training for professionals” a project lead by the International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO). Funded by the EC (JUST/2013/FRAC/AG/6319), the project will promote awareness-raising on the rights and needs of children in conflict with the law through the exchange of good practices, and provision of training for practitioners/professionals dealing with children in residential care or detention on the rights of the child and on how to communicate with children in an age- and context-appropriate manner, thus promoting the implementation of Article 12 of the UN Convention on the rights of the child (The right to be heard).
