Amb. Prince Francis Origa, JP, The Institute for Humanitarian Studies and Social Development (IHSD), Nigeria’s, is the Registrar of the Institute for Humanitarian Studies and Social Development, with a track record of more than 15 years in child protection and welfare, having participated in campains and projects in the following areas; ending violence against children, caring for orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV and other health issues, providing immunization, nutrition and treatment for malaria. Prince Origa has additionally served as an officer of the Red Cross in Nigeria and consults the African Refugees Foundation on peace education. Prince Origa holds the Fellowship and Professional Doctorate Award in Humanitarian Services (P.DHS) from the Abia State University and the IHSD, a Masters in Conflictology from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research in Geneva in collaboration with the University of Catalonia in Spain, a Masters in International Relations and Strategic Studies and a Bachelors in History and International Relations from the Lagos State University and a Professional Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), along with an Advanced Diploma in Marketing from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Prince Origa has authored a number of publications on development, NGO management, displacement and unemployment.
The Institute for Humanitarian Studies and Social Development (IHSD) , Nigeria’s foremost and solely approved Humanitarian Professional Training Institution by the Federal Ministry of Education. The IHSED engages in a variety of programs including capacity building, bringing value, credibility and professionalism to the activities of humanitarian service providers and children's rights advocates.
