National Legal Advisers on Children (NLAC)
The NLAC is dedicated to providing high quality legal representation for children through lawyers. Aim of this unit is to improve the lives of children and families through legal advocacy.
Strengthen the Delivery of Legal Services for Children
The NLAC works to ensure that children are provided with well resourced, high quality
legal counsel when their welfare is at stake.
Enhance the Quality of Legal Services Affecting Children
The NLAC establishes standards of practice and provides training, research, education, and Recommendations, Supplement reports and technical assistance to promote specialized high quality legal services.
Improve Courts and Agencies Serving Children
The NLAC promotes systemic improvement in our child serving agencies and court systems.
Advance the Rights and Interests of Children
The NLAC promotes law and policy that advance the welfare of children.
