Graça Margarida Medeiros Teixeira e Santos holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Sciences and Supervision at the Escola Superior de Educação of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança.

Her teaching activity is based on two essential areas: the training of teachers and social educators. She contributes to the training of professionals with special sensitivity and practical work for social and cultural rights of children. In the academic and research areas, she is interested in supervising socio-educational intervention projects in different areas, especially with children and adults, in different contexts that promote personal and social development. She is also interested in publicizing actions with impact on the community.

She is an integrated member of the Research Center on Adult Education and Community Intervention (CEAD) and a member of the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences. She has scientific production in the area of Educational Sciences.
