World Mental Health Day

We prioritize mental health and well-being for everyone!

World Mental Health Day is celebrated every year on October 10th. The goal of this day is to raise awareness, educate, and inform the public about mental illnesses and disorders. "Hope For Children" CRC Policy Centre honors this day and joins its voice with the global community, aiming to protect and improve mental health, especially for children.

While the pandemic continues to impact people's mental health, the opportunity to reconnect through the World Mental Health Day 2022 allows us to reignite our efforts to provide better mental health services at all levels, accessible to all those in need.

Even before the pandemic, many aspects of mental health worldwide were under scrutiny, with 1 in 8 people globally experiencing some form of mental disorder. At the same time, the services, skills, and funding available for mental health remain inadequate, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Stigma and discrimination continue to be barriers to social inclusion and access to proper care.

World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to collectively enhance efforts in developing and implementing effective preventive mental health interventions. We envision a world where mental health is valued, promoted, and protected, where everyone has equal opportunities to enjoy mental health and exercise their human rights, and where all can access the mental health care they need.

The foundations that promote the protection of mental health include prevention and early intervention, as well as easy access to quality mental health services. Many of the services provided by Hope For Children offer accessibility to services concerning children's mental health. Children have the right to easy access to care and treatment without discrimination and deserve to have a healthy and happy life.

"Hope For Children" CRC Policy Centre embraces the direction set by the World Health Organization for this year: making mental health and well-being a global priority for everyone. It is an opportunity for individuals with mental illnesses, supporters, governments, employers, employees, and other stakeholders to come together with the aim of making Mental Health and Well-being a Global Priority for all.
